The SportsTech startups program powered by FundingBox, SCORE will select up to 10 startups before the end of the 2022/2023 season.

Real Madrid Next is the Open Innovation arm of the football club active in the following work areas:

• e-health
• Performance
• Audiovisual
• Fan engagement
• Cyber-tech
• Social

In the first edition of SCORE, we selected and worked with 11 companies that have focused on topics such as:

• Self-rehabilitation using AI
• Foot biomechanics study with smart sensors
• VR and AR content development
• Indoor geotracking using radiofrequency
• Cybersecurity
• RFID technology to activate the fan base

Likewise, for this new edition, Real Madrid Next will involve the selected sports technology startups in its different lines of business throughout the club

This will happen once the startups have secured enough funding to be able to engage with the club. FundingBox, Europe's leading funding marketplace with 150 M€ under management will choose 2-3 startups every 2 months and support these startups secure the equity free funding.

Special priority will be given to startups responding to the Real Madrid Next work areas with the following technologies:

• Wearable and Non-wearable technologies to enhance performance
• IoT to improve medical care and health
• Immersive VR/AR/XR
• AI/ML
• Data privacy
• Cyber security
• Digital twins
• Smart energy
